Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) was an Italian Catholic teenager recognized for his deep faith, exemplary life, and profound devotion to the Eucharist. Born on May 3, 1991, in London to Italian parents, Carlo and his family later moved to Milan. From a young age, he displayed a keen interest in computers and technology.


Carlo's faith journey began early, and he received his First Holy Communion at the age of seven. His love for the Eucharist became a central aspect of his life. Recognizing the power of technology in spreading the message of Christianity, Carlo created a website cataloging Eucharistic miracles from around the world. His dedication to this project reflected his commitment to evangelization.


Despite battling leukemia, Carlo maintained a positive spirit, offering his suffering for the Church and the Pope. He passed away on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. His funeral was attended by numerous people, testifying to the impact of his short but remarkable life.


Carlo Acutis was beatified on October 10, 2020, in a ceremony held in Assisi, Italy. His beatification highlighted his holiness and the extraordinary manner in which he lived out his Christian faith, encouraging others to deepen their relationship with God.


Blessed Carlo Acutis is remembered as a modern role model for young people, emphasizing the relevance of faith in the digital age. His beatification serves as an inspiration for Catholics worldwide, encouraging them to embrace their faith wholeheartedly and live virtuous lives amidst the challenges of the contemporary world.
